SCREECH!! That’s the sound of a comic strip going from the lovely face of Jenny Hayes to the scowling puss of Old Man Jenkins. You’d think the old man would WANT his son to be gainfully employed instead of just helping his buddy Eddie, but that would be a distraction from his real purpose: To serve, to suffer. Poor kid!
==================
If Pastis can do it, so can I!
Moooaaaann! That’s the sound of a commenter with no comment.
If you’re “Bald Eagle” then Old Man Jenkins is “Bald Vulture”. Thanks for the non-comment, at least I know you visited!
poor Eddie…………. not even Chef Ramsay can help him in this Direful “bogosort style” of education from OMJ

@Wiseguy, re Chuck Berry’s version…someone in my department had the recording and used to play it when we had lunchtime pot luck meals…tables in the hallway for about 20 of us. My network admin went in the office of the person who had all of the music one day and was searching for it. He called out, “Where’s my Ding-A-Ling.” I yelled back, “Al, my nephew’s not even 2 and he knows where his is!” Al is an African American, but his face was red that day!
Egads!!! How perverted…daring your son to rummage around your butt to answer an important phone call. I’m almost speechless, too BaldEagle!
ALMOST speechless?? Dangit, I gotta do a better job. See what happens when there are no syndicate editors to filter me? Hahahaha!!!!
Frank, anyone who knows me knows that even when I have nothing to say, I will say SOMETHING! LOL The only time I am truly silent is when I am really really really angry. You won’t want to be around me then.
this is what Baldeagle should have written to convey speechless

With respect to your earlier comment about OMJ being a “Bald Vulture”, I’m reminded of a cartoon referred to in the following quote:
.
“Recently I’ve had cause to recall an old cartoon in either the New York Times or The New Yorker magazine, which depicts two vultures sitting on a limb of a dead tree. One vulture says to the other – Patience my [posterior], I’m going to kill something.”
RE your comment about Pastis…yours was published first!
@BaldEagle I remember seeing that one…luv it. Thanks for the memory.
@Sassy-But actually, Pastis drew it first – he has to work many weeks ahead. There will be many more butt end jokes in the world of comics before time itself comes to an end. Nothing is completely original.
today saw in Game network an old “match game”, one with Kate Jackson when she was starting in the rookies………. “Grandpa dreamed he was bitten by a horse, when he woke up he Grandma’s false teeth in his ______ ” the contestant said “fannie”(made funnier as one of the celebrities was the comedian Fannie) and matched 3 as Kate said Buns, another said rear and Richard Dawson said Derriere
Yes, I know about the advance timelines, but as I said, YOURS was PUBLISHED first. Doesn’t matter when you start, it’s when you cross the
FINISH line that counts!!!
